Kerala had a batting collapse earlier before opener Rohan S Kunnummal (42) pulled them out of a sticky situation at 3/2. Later, Abdul Bazith (90) and captain Salman Nizar (38) appeared to have lifted Kerala out of trouble and set them on course for a comfortable win in pursuit of a target of 259. The duo had forged a 100-run partnership to take Kerala from 128/6.

But just 30 runs away from win, the Kerala innings had a second collapse as Prince Yadav removed Nizar and Sharafuddeen N M in the 42nd over. Ishant Sharma clean-bowled Bazith and Kerala plunged to defeat. The former India pacer finished with three wickets.
