No change in MT Vasudevan Nair's condition, says medical bulletin

Kozhikode: Renowned Malayalam author, screenwriter, and lyricist MT Vasudevan Nair remains in critical condition, according to an updated medical bulletin released by hospital authorities on Friday evening. The bulletin noted no change in his condition since the morning. The 91-year-old writer has been receiving treatment at Baby Memorial Hospital in Kozhikode for the past five days.
A team of expert doctors have kept him under observation at the Intensive Care Unit. The writer, who was admitted to the hospital following breathing difficulties, suffered heart-related complications.
Another medical bulletin will be issued by the hospital shortly. His family members have arrived at the hospital. Writer and critic MN Karassery reached the private hospital to meet his friend.
"Though MT is conscious, he is unable to speak or move. His wife, daughter Aswathi and her family are here. His elder daughter Sitara and family had visited him 10 days back," Karassery told media at the hospital.
Minister AK Saseendran also reached the hospital and held talks with the writer's family members. He told the media that the family expressed hope on the medical care provided to MT at the hospital.
