Kottayam: A team from the fire and rescue service rescued a buffalo that had fallen into a well near the Panchayat Office, Pampady here on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2 pm when the buffalo, tied near the well, slipped and fell in. Upon noticing this, a nearby resident immediately alerted the fire and rescue services.

The team promptly arrived at the scene and found the buffalo floating on the surface of the water. The well contained enough water to prevent serious injury to the animal.

The buffalo was safely brought out of the well without any harm. Fire Station Officer V V Suvikumar led the rescue operation, with Senior Fire Officer V S Abhilash Kumar and other officials assisting in the effort.
