Kochi: Malayalam actor and director Sreenivasan, who underwent a bypass surgery at a private hospital in Angamaly, is on the path to recovery.

He was hospitalised on March 30 after he complained of chest pain. An Angiogram test revealed that he is suffering from triple vessel disease — an extreme form of coronary artery disease (CAD). Subsequently, he underwent a bypass surgery on March 31. He is in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

"Sreenivasan's health condition is improving and he is responding to treatment. His health is stable," the hospital said in the medical bulletin.
