Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan returned to Kerala in the wee hours of Sunday from the United States, where he underwent primary treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Vijayan, who landed at 3.30 am, went straight to Cliff House, his official residence.
Vijayan had flown to the US on September 2, accompanied by his wife Kamala. He was originally scheduled to fly on August 19, but put off the plan as floods ravaged the state.
Before his return, Vijayan spoke to the American Malayali community, and made a plea for contributions for flood relief.
