Railways has completed key restoration works and relaunched services along all sectors in Kerala after they were disrupted by the torrential rainover the last several days.

Working on a war-footing to clear the debris along tracks and ensure traffic-worthiness of the various rail bridges, railways restarted services along all key routes including Ernakulam-Kottayam-Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam- Alleppey-Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode- Shoranur and Palakkad sections.

Wagons from the Bengaluru division of South Western Railway will soon be chugging in with relief materials, especially potable water, from various parts of the country.
