Kollam: A class-12 student from Mamood in Kollam has been chosen for a football camp in the European football's dream city Madrid, where all-time greats in the game like Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Luis Suarez have been playing.

Abhi Mohan, son of Mohanan Pillai and Bindu of Kalluvila house in Mamood, has been selected to the football coaching camp organised by the ADA 71 club in the Spanish capital.

The camp takes place at the Santo Dominigo Municipal Stadium from September 1 to 30.

Abhi, a student of AEPM School, Irumpanangad, is a star on the defence line at the Mamood Soccer Club. His coach Abhilash says he is proud of the student's achievement.

Another student in the same club, Adiytan from Poonthalathazham, had also been selected to this camp.

Abhi's father Mohanan is a timber worker and mother Bindu a housewife.
