Sholayoor (Attappadi): "Look at our roads. Elephants have made our lives miserable. You need to find a solution to this. You have to come and see the trail of destruction in our fields. Now they are attacking our houses. You need to find a solution...”

Rinsy, a nun, had no other option but to intercept the minister's car to apprise him about complaints regarding wild elephant menace and bad roads. She came there as a representative of Attappadi residents whose lives have been hit hard.

Sister Rinsy stood on the road to complain directly to forest minister K Raju who was passing by in his official vehicle during his Sholayoor visit on Saturday.

When the vehicle slowed down to negotiate the water-filled potholes, Sister Rinsy reached the minister. But before the minister could reply, the police personnel accompanying the minister and party workers stopped Sister Rinsy. However, later, during his speech the minister spoke mainly about wild elephant menace.
