Kottayam: Following heavy rain, holiday has been declared for a few educational institutions in Kottayam and Wayanad districts on Friday. The collectors of the districts said the Kanjiram SNDP high school in Kottayam taluk's Thiruvarppu, and Govt LP school at Pirayar, Kidangoor in Meenachil taluk will remain closed.

In Wayanad district, all educational institutions, including Anganwadis in Vythiri and Mananthavady taluks, will have a holiday. The holiday is applicable to all schools in the district where relief camps function.

However, the order will not be applicable to professional colleges in Wayanad district, educational institutions in Bathery taluk and Model Residential schools.
