Malappuram: A pilot vehicle in the convoy of Kerala chief minister toppled after it hit a divider on the road at Kunnumel Junction here. The accident happened at a curve at 9.45 pm on Sunday as the jeep was entering Kunnumel from the road behind the KSRTC bus stand.
The jeep belonged to Kondotty police station. The policemen, who sustained only minor injuries, were shifted to the Taluk Hospital at Kottapadi.
The chief minister was stranded on the road for 5 minutes as other vehicles in the convoy couldn't proceed due to the accident. The CM's convoy finally went ahead after the jeep was pushed away from the middle of the road.
