Alappuzha: U Prathibha Hari, MLA, who had moved a family court seeking divorce, attended the first round of counseling on Friday and said that she wanted to sever the marital ties with her husband K R Hari.
The Kayamkulam MLA, who had moved the court on October 29, attended the first round of counseling along with her husband. However, no consensus was reached. The couple have been directed to appear for counseling again on February 3. They have a son, who is studying in class 8.
The couple had got married in February, 2001. Hari is an overseer with the KSEB in Nilambur, Malappuram. She was the former district panchayat president of Alappuzha.
She was one of the 8 women who made it to the Kerala Assembly after the 2016 elections.
