Sabarimala: A pilgrim from Andhra Pradesh, who carried a gun, was taken into custody on Saturday night at Pampa. The police have not revealed much details.

There were five other pilgrims with the gun owner. The police found five bottles of liquor from their vehicle.

The pilgrims are being interrogated by the Pampa police. The gun was licensed, but is never allowed at Sabarimala, which is a top-security area. Such arms can be kept at the police station as pilgrims proceed to the temple.

The police said a case will be charged against the pilgrims for keeping liquor with them.
