Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Monday deferred its judgment on the anticipatory bail plea of Malayalam director Nadhirshah, who was summoned twice for questioning by the cops probing the February 17 actress attack case.
The court will now pronounce the verdict on September 25.

The director on Sunday was questioned by the cops for over four hours at the Aluva police club. Emerging from the interrogation, he told the waiting reporters: "There was a media hype against me and lots of lies are being spread against me, so more than anyone else, it's my need that I come clean... I answered all the questions that were put up to me and police were friendly towards me.” He also maintained that his close friend and actor Dileep, arrested forhis alleged involvement in the conspiracy to abduction and assault the actor, was innocent.
The police probe team has submitted the details of the questioning to the Kerala High Court. The HC last week directed the police probe team not to arrest the director till September 18, but asked him to appear before the police probe team.
Sunday was the second time that Nadhirshah was questioned at length. In June, he and Dileep first appeared for questioned for 13 long hours.
But on July 10, Dileep was arrested for hiring goons to assault the actress and videotape the heinous crime.
Meanwhile, a court in Angamaly rejected the bail plea of Malayalam actor Dileep on Monday.
