Kavya Madhavan likely to move court for anticipatory bail In her plea, Kavya said the cops were constantly calling her and there was a move to implicate her in the case.

Kochi: Malayalam actress Kavya Madhavan, who was earlier questioned by the cops in connection with the February 17 actress attack case, has approached the Kerala High Court seeking an anticipatory bail. Her husband and actor Dileep was earlier arrested for allegedly plotting the attack.

The actress moved for bail in the Kerala HC Saturday through Dileep's counsel Raman Pillai. In her plea, Kavya said the cops were constantly calling her and there was a move to implicate her in the case. In the plea, Kavya also said that neither she nor Dileep had ever known Suni.

The court will consider the plea Monday.

As the investigation has reached the final stage, rumors have been rife the cops would make more arrests. Meanwhile, a high-level meeting of the investigation team was held in the capital Saturday, triggering talk about a possible arrest.

Main accused Pulsar Suni had earlier told the cops that he had visited Kavya's villa. He said he had entered the name and phone number in the register.  Earlier, Suni had told reporters that Kavya was his madam, who allegedly masterminded the crime.

Reports had earlier linked Suni with Kavya, stating that he had worked as her car driver.

Kavya was questioned after allegations that Suni had handed over the mobile phone, in which the crime was recorded, and a memory card to someone associated with the actress. The police are yet to retrieve the memory card and the phone.

The young actress was waylaid and attacked in a moving car in Kochi on February 17. Suni, who had worked as a driver to many film personalities, was arrested six days after the crime.

Meanwhile, the Angamaly First Class Judicial Magistrate Court on Saturday extended the remand of actor Dileep till September 28. The court will pronounce the verdict on Dileep's bail plea on Monday.
