The hapless family had believed that Sawant inflicted injuries on himself as he was not mentally stable.
Sawant spent almost the entire night playing games on the phone. He also reportedly went out alone in the night. As it was difficult to frequently check on him, his mother made him sleep next to her.
Once he went missing, the family found him at a bridge near Thalassery. The family, which noticed his unusual behavior, took him for counseling, but to no avail.
The hapless family had believed that Sawant inflicted injuries on himself as he was not mentally stable.His family came forward with their traumatic experience after media reported the death of Thiruvananthapuram native Manoj.
