Hyderabad: Telugu actor Allu Arjun appeared before Chikkadpally police on Tuesday for questioning in connection with the ongoing investigation into the stampede that occurred during the screening of 'Pushpa-2' on December 4.

The actor was summoned to report at 11 am today, and security was heightened around his residence. As he left for the police station, he greeted fans along the way. Allu Arjun had earlier assured his cooperation with the investigation.

The notice followed a video release by Police Commissioner C V Anand, which detailed the chain of events leading to the stampede. The incident at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad claimed the life of a 35-year-old woman.

Subsequently, the city police filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security personnel, and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) after receiving a complaint from the deceased woman's family.

Allu Arjun, listed as accused number 11, was taken into custody on December 13. The Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks on the same day, leading to his release on December 14 morning.
