Hyderabad: A group of individuals, claiming to be members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC), vandalised the residence of Telugu actor Allu Arjun at Jubilee Hills on Sunday. Flower pots on the premises were destroyed, and tomatoes were thrown at the house.

The protesters chanted slogans against the actor and demanded justice for the woman who died in a stampede at a movie theatre earlier this month during a screening of the actor's latest film, 'Pushpa-2', PTI reported.

The police detained the protesters. A placard left behind by the group stated that while crores of rupees are earned from making films, those watching them are dying. The OU-JAC had been a prominent group in the Telangana statehood movement.
