Thrissur: A programme in honour of master litterateur of Malayalam language, M T Vasudevan Nair on his 90th birthday, 'M T: Kalam - Navathi Vandanam', organised by Manorama Online will begin in Thrissur on Friday. Two discussions on Malayali's experience of the eminent writer's oeuvre and the screening of 'Nirmalyam' scripted by MT and which is crossing the threshold of half a century will mark the beginning of 'Navati Vandanam' at INOX theatre in Shobha city.

N S Madhavan, T D Ramakrishnan, Rafeeq Ahmed and Alankode Leelakrishnan will speak on the topic 'Malayali Vayicha M T' (MT read by Malayalai). Meanwhile, B Unnikrishnan, Unni R and Shankar Ramakrishnan will deliver discourses on the topic, 'Vellithirayude MT' (MT of the silver screen). Ashwati V Nair, MT's daughter, will also take part in the programme.

'Navati Vandanam' organised in association with Joy Alukkas will conclude on September 23 in Kozhikode. Prominent figures across the literary, cultural, movie and political spectrum will participate in the programme.
