Millions of people around the world suffer heart attacks or other heart-related ailments daily. Prodromal symptoms are warning signs that you might experience a few days or even a month before a heart attack. Recognizing these symptoms and seeking proper treatment would ensure complete recovery.
Symptoms of cardiac arrest
Chest pain is a symptom that is seen in most people who suffer heart attacks. Besides chest pain, chest heaviness, heart palpitations, breathing difficulties, heart burns, fatigue and lack of sleep are some of the other symptoms. Symptoms would be seen at least a week before a heart attack in those who have partial blocks. However, the symptoms may begin to appear at least a month before the heart attack in patients who have a complete block.

Eye symptoms
These are some of the eye symptoms that may precede a heart attack:
Yellow eyes
The yellow colour in the eyes may be one of the first symptoms of an impending heart attack. The changed colour indicates a high level of LDL or bad cholesterol.
Swelling around the eyes
Do not hesitate to get a detailed heart check-up if you notice unusual swelling around your eyes. This indicates fluid retention which is a symptom of heart related ailments.

Headache may be a symptom of heart-related ailments. It may even lead to vision problems. The symptoms could be different in men and women. As per notable studies, around 70 per cent of men suffer from heart attacks. However, women mostly die within a year of suffering a heart attack. Besides, symptoms that are not related to heart attacks are mostly seen in women.
Fifty per cent of women suffer from sleep-related problems a month before having a heart attack. However, only 32 per cent of men suffer this.
