Hanumankind does 30 push-ups before shoot, 100 before stage shows: Here's the reason

'Big Dawgs' fame Hanumankind recently made his movie debut through the Aashiq Abu directorial 'Rifle Club' in Malayalam. The musician, who often shows off his washboard abs during his power-packed stage shows, apparently used to take 30 push-ups before each of his shots! In a promotional event of the film, National Award winner actress Surabhi Lakshmi, who was his co-star in the movie, revealed that Hanumankind used to request her to count his push-ups. At the time, he revealed that the activity was used to help him deliver better during his performance. He also revealed that he does around 100 push-ups before his stage shows. Interestingly, many musicians and stage performers have revealed in the past that push-ups are a major part of their backstage routine before starting the event. Here is the reason:
1. Routines like push-ups increase blood flow and adrenaline, giving a natural energy boost before stepping on stage.
2. It also helps manage pre-performance nerves by releasing endorphins.
3. A quick workout, like push-ups, can clear the mind and sharpen focus.
4. Push-ups can pump up muscles, giving a more confident, energized appearance.
5. Pre-show rituals, like push-ups, help artists get into the zone and prepare mentally.
How many push-ups are healthy?
According to the Mayo Clinic, a healthy 25-year-old man should be able to do 28 push-ups in one go, while a woman should be able to do 20 at that age. At 35, a woman should be able to do 19 and a man, 21. At 45, a woman should be able to hit 14 and a man, 16. Once you reach 55, men should be able to do 12 push-ups and women should be around 10. According to Mayo Clinic, men and women should be able to do a minimum of 10 push-ups once they reach the age of 65.
