No time for elaborate skincare? Here are some extremely quick, effective tips

Everyone wants unblemished, porcelain skin, but many are not genetically blessed with good skin. Not many are privileged to set time aside for elaborate, 10-step, 20-step skincare routines either. Many say that they lose the motivation to be disciplined if they don't see immediate results after spending a good chunk of money and time on daily skincare. However, everyone can do a few things to ensure that they meet the basic requirements to keep the skin nourished, protected, hydrated and stress-free. And most importantly, they take just under five minutes.
Eat healthy fats and nuts
Include healthy fats like olive oil and coconut oil in your daily diet. Also, regularly munch on a handful of nuts—either walnuts, almonds, or chia seeds—for healthy skin. It will give you the pleasure of eating but not the stress of elaborate routines.
Face wash
Make sure to wash your face twice daily using a mild face wash. You could also sprinkle some water on your face in the morning. Applying a toner or rose water would keep your skin fresh and plumpy. Toning helps shrink the pores and improves blood circulation, making the skin super soft.
Sunscreen
Do not go out without applying a thick layer of sunscreen, as it prevents tanning, sunburns, and pigmentation. Moreover, using sunscreen regularly can improve your skin texture, prevent premature ageing, and prevent you from using multiple skincare products.
Cleansing gel
Foundation creams, powders, liquid blushes, and waterproof mascaras cannot be washed off using regular soap or face wash. So, a good-quality cleansing gel or makeup remover needs to be used to remove the makeup. These cleansing gels can even remove stubborn eye makeup. Moreover, double cleansing prevents the accumulation of dirt and makeup on your skin that clogs pores.
Hydration and diet
Drink at least .15 litres of water daily to ensure toxins are flushed out of your system, helping your skin shine. Similarly, include hydrating fruits and vegetables like cucumber, watermelon, oranges and more in your diet. After checking with your dietician and doctor, ensure the intake of the necessary vitamin pills too – including vitamin D. If your diet cannot ensure that you get all the nutrients from your food, the correct intake of pills should compensate that to a big extend.
Workout
For the sake of your skin, help it sweat and breathe well by doing light to medium-intensity exercises of a few minutes, regularly. Not only can it give your skin that youthful flush, it can also get rid of all those free radicals and impurities that can later pop out as pimples. If you are too pressed for time, transform daily movements into activities – like walking to and from office, going to the most distant loo or coffee machine in your office rather than opting for the nearest one, taking steps instead of elevators and doing seated workouts.
