There have been serious debates and discussions about the nutritional qualities of the eggs and whether it should be consumed every day to ensure the daily dose of nutrition. There are many people who give up eating eggs because they think that eggs can make them cholesterol patients.
However, Dr. S Harikrishnan, assistant professor of the department of poultry at the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University says that one wouldn’t get their cholesterol levels high simply because of having eggs.
Earlier, patients with high cholesterol levels were asked to avoid eggs, but new findings say that cholesterol level in a person doesn't rise too much due to consumption of eggs, says Harikrishnan.
He says that according to latest findings the cholesterol produced in the body naturally will be reduced if there is a rise in cholesterol from food intake. So there is no reason to be wary about high cholesterol by consuming eggs.
However, the doctor warns against taking eggs regularly if one has high cholesterol problems that is hereditary.
Besides, he also talks about how to recognize allergic reactions triggered by eggs in children.
