Jyothish and Minu, who are both doctors, dreamed of building a classic Victorian mansion with the famed verdant greenery of Wayanad in the backdrop. The house exudes the mesmerizing charm of the old colonial buildings. Instead of bright colours, rustic and lighter shades of hues have been mostly used in the interiors as well as the exteriors.

Not just the structure, but the compound wall and the garden too have been designed in the colonial theme to ensure cohesion. The Victorian-style fencing is unique and quite charming too. Meanwhile, the front yard is paved with cobbled stones just like the streets of Europe. Beautiful gardens and verdant meadows are part of the aesthetically curated landscape.

Designed in 3100 sqft, this amazing mansion has a sit-out, living and dining areas, kitchen with a work area, four bedrooms, bathrooms, home theatre and a balcony too.

The car porch, meanwhile, is built separately without blocking the fabulous views of the elevation. The interiors are designed in the semi-open style with a TV unit in the formal living area. A chic curio shelf is what separates the living and the dining areas. The aquarium looks perfect as it adds a sense of movement. However, the lounge couch in scintillating blue shade is the highlight of this area.

The spacious dining area with a double-height ceiling is the soul of the interiors. The elaborate staircase is close to the dining area which also acts as a connecting space between both the floors. A cosy library area is arranged adjacent to the curvaceous part of the staircase on the upper floor. Even though the staircase takes quite a lot of space, concealed storage units are arranged beneath it to make the house space-efficient.

The bedrooms on both floors have been designed to suit the unique tastes and preferences of the family members. The unique panelling on the head side wall and the beautiful upholstery work makes the bedrooms look and feel different. The bath-attached bedrooms have separate dressing spaces and wardrobes too.

The island-themed kitchen opens to the dining area. The cabinets are done in multi-wood with laminate finish. Meanwhile, nano-white has been paved on the countertop. The counter in the middle of the kitchen could be used as a breakfast counter too.

The home theatre on the upper floor is equipped with the latest dolby sound technology. This area is furnished lavishly with acoustic panelling, dancing lights and pushback seats.
The family who recently moved into their dream home is delighted that they got the house of their dreams.
