Though fish ponds are commonly being used as a decorative feature in homes, not many know that they can be scientifically used for efficient waste management. For the fishes to grow in these ponds, the water should have high level of oxygen. Besides, the fishes should be able to get their food from the water itself.
When wastes are loaded in the pond, the oxygen that is required for its decomposition would be drawn from the water. Then, the fishes may not get enough oxygen and they may soon die.
