Faizal, an expatriate, is thrilled about his brand new house built at his hometown in Kootilangadi, Malappuram, Kerala, His dream dwelling stands regally on a 20 cents plot, in a small valley, close to his ancestral home. The construction of the house was overseen by Faizal’s father PC Hamsa, who is the vice president of the Moopilangadi panchayat. Architects Riyas and Sajeer of the Covo Architecture Studio, who are Faizal’s good friends as well, were entrusted with the task of designing a beautiful house. Faizal says that he wasn’t tensed at all about the construction as his close friends and family members took care of everything, from drawing the plan and purchasing the building materials to adding the final touches.

The elevation features a unique box style with pristine white hue adorning the exterior walls. The beautiful brick cladding adds to the perfect contrast here. The car porch extends to the facade of the house. The structural work is done using MS in the sit-out, to allow creepers climb it. Gravel is paved on the front courtyard. This house which has an area of 2600 sq ft has a car porch, sit-out, living and dining areas, kitchen with a work area and four bedrooms.
