Shebeer Ali had purchased a plot, away from the city in in ramanattukara, Kozhikode, Kerala, as he wanted to experience the serenity of bucolic environs. The beautiful plot, near the lush green paddy fields that sway in breeze, was the perfect place to build his dream house which he has named ‘Aiswarya Bhavan’ or auspicious home.
The house which emanates the classy elegance of the contemporary style is designed by architect Muhammed Mirshad. The elevation is chic, beautiful and stands out for its minimal style. The unique structure of the house is so enchanting that one would crave to have a look inside.
The scintillating sights in this house begin with the unique name board which is done in concrete rods with beautiful wall-cladding in the background. The 20 cents plot and the beautiful house that stands tall in it are secured with compound walls.
Kadappa stones are paved on the front yard, with beautiful landscaping done close to the structure. The car porch, which is spacious enough to accommodate two cars, is built using GI pipe and roofing sheet. Windows with significant height add a touch of sleek elegance to the exteriors. The canopy is done using glass and GI section. A beautiful combination of brown, black and off-white shades adorn the exteriors. The lush green of the terrace garden add the perfect contrast as well.
This 4500 sq ft mesmerizing mansion has a sit-out, formal and family living areas, ladies’ sitting area, dining space, kitchen and five bedrooms. The imported sofa that adorns the formal living area is an eye-catching feature here. The interiors are designed primarily in the open style.
The living area is vast and spacious, with the flooring done using vitrified tiles. The furniture in leather upholstery and the unique TV paneling on the wall make this space interesting and attractive.
The well-arranged interiors have the unique charm of minimalism. The living and the dining areas, wash area and the ladies’ sitting space are all designed in the open style. Iron rope curtain, which is transparent, acts as the partition between spaces, besides being a decorative feature. The terracotta tile claddings done on an interior wall is another interesting feature. All the furniture in this house are made of teak wood. The ceiling is in the gypsum, plywood and veneer combination.
The ladies’ sitting space is adjacent to the dining area. The iron rope curtain, beautiful wall papers and a TV paneling are the designer features which add a special charm to this space.
The kitchen has all the modern facilities which make it smart and easy to maintain as well. The cabinets are made in multi wood. Auto paint finish has been done here after applying a coat of MC putty. Nano white is paved on the counter top. The dining table is designed on the theme of benches and desks. The wash area is arranged beneath the stairway. The indoor plants add a pleasant and refreshing look to this area. The handrails of the stairway are done in multi-wood and glass finish.
Arrangements for the family dining have been made in the kitchen itself. The bedrooms are designed in unique themes. The designer head boards, beautiful features on the wall, and pleasant hues make the bedrooms extremely beautiful. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor and two in the upper storey.This house doesn’t boast of any overwhelming luxuries but stands out for its elegant minimalism and modern facilities.
