Kochi: The Kerala Blasters team management has hinted that Ian Hume might return to the playing eleven to spearhead the offensive against Delhi Dynamos on Sunday. Blasters had gone in against FC Goa without Hume.
Team circles clarify that Hume was benched to prevent the possibility of injury after a muscle strain during training. Hume did not keenly participate in training in the initial days. Hume’s coming will reinforce the Blasters’ frontline.
The team was relaxing after the win in their first home match. The stars ventured out only for the routine gym training on Friday. Some stayed put at the hotel. Others roamed around the malls.
Some of the team officials visited Fort Kochi. The team members are pleased to be finally able to stay at a place after days of constant travel. This was shared by the marquee player David James himself.
He has said one advantage of being in Kochi was getting a respite from the bag-packing scramble for a few days. Uncertainty persists about the appearance of the injured Michael Chopra against Delhi Dynamos on Sunday.
