It may sound unusual to brew onion tea but the beverage has too many health benefits to ignore. Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, this magic potion is easy to make and a popular home-remedy for cough.
Ingredients
1 onion (cut into small pieces)
2 tbsp honey
2 cups water
1 bay leaf
3 cloves
Preparation
Into rapidly boiling water add the onion pieces
Add the bay leaf and cloves after a minute
When the water turns brown in colour, pass it through a sieve
Add honey for sweetness.
