Crunchy murukku could be easily made at home. Here is the recipe.
Ingredients
1 cup sago pearls
2 potatoes (boiled)
¼ cup all purpose flour
2 - 3 green chillies
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp lemon juice
¼ tsp cumin
Coriander leaves
1 tsp ghee
Oil to fry
Salt as required
Preparation
Dry roast the sago pearls and grind them into fine powder
Set it aside to be used later
Take boiled and mashed potatoes in a vessel
Into it add the sago pearl powder, all purpose flour, green chillies, lemon juice, chilli flakes, coriander leaves, cumin and salt
Mix well
Fill a sevanazhi or murukku mould with this dough
Squeeze into hot oil
Fry the murukku until they are brown and crunchy.
