This tasty chutney could be stored for a few days and enjoyed with rice and chapathi. Check out the recipe of tomato chutney that could be easily prepared using 4 - 5 tomatoes.

Ingredients
4 -5 tomatoes
2 tbsp oil
1 bay leaf
3 dried chillies
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 tbsp finely chopped onion
1 tsp finely chopped garlic
½ cup sugar
2 ½ tbsp vinegar
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
Juice of 1 lemon

Preparation
Heat oil in a non stick pan
Roast the bay leaf, dried chillies and mustard seeds
Sauté onions and garlic for a minute
Now add the chopped tomatoes
Mix well and cook with the lid on
Into it add sugar, vinegar, chilli powder, lemon juice and salt
Mix well
Cook for 7 - 8 minutes
Do not forget to stir occasionally
Store the chutney in air tight container after it has cooled down.
