Chicken piralan is a spicy and flavoursome dish that could make your Christmas meal extra special. Here is the recipe of spicy chicken piralan.

Ingredients
500 gms chicken (cut into pieces)
250 gms shallots
2 big onions
Curry leaves as required
1 big piece ginger (finely chopped)
Garlic as required
3 green chillies
1 ½ tbsp coriander powder
3 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
¼ tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp vinegar
1 small bowl full of coconut shards
1 tbsp garam masala
½ tbsp pepper powder
Coconut oil as required
Salt as required
Preparation
Heat a frying pan and add Kashmiri chilli powder and coriander powder
Dry roast them until the raw smell is gone
Add these into the chicken pieces
Into the chicken add turmeric powder, curry leaves, coconut shards, pepper powder, salt, coconut oil and vinegar as well
Mix well using your palms until all the chicken pieces are well coated in the masala marinade
Keep them aside
Meanwhile, heat some coconut oil in a pan
Sauté the onions and keep them aside to be used later
Splutter the mustard seeds in the same oil
Now sauté ginger, garlic and green chillies
Add the shallots, curry leaves and salt
Sauté well
Add the marinated chicken pieces after the shallots are nicely sautéed
Mix well
Cook for 5 minutes on low flame with the lid on
Add garam masala and sautéed onions when the chicken is nicely cooked
Mix well
Boil some water and add it into the dish for gravy
Mix well and cook for some more time with the lid on
Enjoy the chicken piralan with chapatti, roti, porotta or rice
