Instant rava dosa with crispy edges is quite popular on restaurant menus. It is easy to prepare it at home as well. Check out the recipe.
Ingredients
1 cup semolina
¾ cup rice flour
¾ cup all purpose flour
4 cashews (chopped)
1 small onion (chopped)
1 piece ginger (finely chopped)
3 green chillies (finely chopped)
1 tbsp raisins
1 tsp cumin
1 ¼ tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
5 cups water
Palm-full of semolina
Preparation
Mix the semolina, rice flour and all-purpose flour
Into it add the chopped cashews, raisins, and onion, ginger and green chilies
Mix well
Pour 4 cups water and mix into semi thick batter
Allow the batter to rest for half an hour
Mix well
Add a palm full of semolina and 1 cup water
Mix well into a looser batter
Pour a ladle full of batter on a greased pan
Sprinkle some ghee on the dosa
Cook until the edges of the dosa turns crispy and golden in color
Enjoy the delicious semolina dosa with spicy coconut/coriander chutney or tangy tomato chutney.
