Super soft and delicious tea cake could be easily made at home without an oven. Check out the recipe for this egg-less tea cake.
Ingredients
1/3 cup butter
½ cup powdered sugar
¾ cup condensed milk
1 cup hot milk
1 ½ tsp lemon juice
1 ½ cup all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp vanilla essence
Preparation
Soften the butter by beating well
Add the powdered sugar and beat until soft
Now add the condensed milk and mix
Pour the lemon juice into hot milk to curdle it
Add the curdled milk into the butter-condensed milk mixture
Pass the all purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda through a sieve into this mixture
Add the vanilla essence too
Fold well
Transfer the batter into a bowl
Place a stand inside a steamer
Place the bowl on the stand and cover the steamer using a piece of cloth
Steam for 40 minutes on low flame
Take it off the flame and allow the cake to cool down completely
Cut the tea cake into small pieces.
