Actress Shilpa Shetty has shared the first recipe from her diet plans on her fitness app.

Posting a recipe named 'beetroot chilla' on Shilpa Shetty app, the actress said the dish was full of health benefits and at the same time tasty.

Sharing a video on Instagram where she is seen preparing the dish, Shilpa wrote: "Our first recipe in 2020 is not only loaded with benefits and great taste, but also is a part of the diet plans on the @shilpashettyapp. Honouring our #GetFit2020 motto, presenting to you the beetroot chilla. It is a great source of iron and plant-based protein, and helps boost digestion."

Ingredients
1 cup besan or gram flour
¾ cup roasted oats flour
pinch of asafoetida
3/4 tsp carom seeds
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ cup coriander leaves
sea salt to taste
2 beetroots (boiled and pureed)
1 tsp vegetable oil
Water for consistency
1 tsp flaxseed powder
Ghee for cooking

Preparation
Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl, in the given order
Consistency should be slightly runny
Pour ghee on a skillet
Pour a ladle of batter and spread like a crepe
Top with chopped onions and chillies
Cover and cook on medium heat
Flip and cook
Serve with chutney of choice.
