Coconut paste adds oodles of texture and flavour to gravy of fish curries. This dish is super tasty, simple to cook and can be had with rice, chapathi and roti as well. Check out the easy recipe of delicious roasted coconut fish.

Ingredients
½ kg fish (cleaned and filleted)
Salt as required
All-purpose flour, as required
Oil, as required
1 cup grated coconut
1 ½ tbsp coriander
½ tsp fennel seeds
6 Kashmiri chillies
½ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp garam masala
1 tsp ginger (chopped)
1 tsp garlic (chopped)
4 green chillies
8 shallots
2 onions (finely chopped)
2 medium sized tomatoes (finely diced)
2 tbsp coriander leaves
Salt as required
4 bunches curry leaves (fried)

Preparation
Coat the fish fillets with all purpose flour and salt
Fry the fishes lightly in hot oil and keep them aside
Roast the grated coconut, coriander, fennel seeds, Kashmiri chillies, turmeric powder, and garam masala until they are dark brown in colour
Crush the ginger, garlic, green chillies, and shallots
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions
Into it add crushed ginger, garlic, green chillies, and shallots
Sauté well
Now, add the tomatoes, coriander leaves and salt as required
Sauté until the tomatoes are nice and mushy
Grind ¾ part of the previously roasted coconut mixture and add it into the gravy
Add the fried fish and mix well
When the gravy begins to thicken up, add the rest of roasted coconut mixture 
Garnish with fried curry leaves.
