As per the Ayurvedic tradition, the human body is made up of 5 elements and has the 3 doshas, vata, pitta and kapha, in equal proportions. The body functions well and we feel healthy and energetic if these doshas are in perfect balance. It plays a major role in making us feel calm and also fills our mind with positive energy.

Here are the symptoms if the element of vata gets reduced in our body:

• Restlessness

• Stress and anxiety

During the winter, the vata may be high in the human body. Ayurveda prescribes remedies for sleeplessness and exhaustion during this time:

• Avoid eating raw food
