Chowwari appam

Sabudana or sago is a good source of proteins and essential carbs. They make the prime ingredient in many breakfast recipes, and in here, we find an especially delicious appam made with chowwari/sago.
Ingredients
½ cup (200gm) chowwari
1 tbsp urad dal/black gram
2 tbsp rava/semolina
½ cup water
½ cup warm water
1 tsp yeast
2 tbsp sugar
3 cups appam powder
2 ½ cups coconut milk
Salt, as required
Preparation
Wash chowwari and gram and soak in water for 6 to 7 hours
Mix rava with warm water and place on stove and allow to reduce on low flame
Add yeast and sugar in half a cup of warm water, mix and keep aside
Grind chowwari and gram to a smooth paste
Add this mixture to the rice powder
Add yeast and thickened rava and blend by mixing well with hand
Add coconut milk to it, mix and keep for two hours
Heat the appam pan
Pour flour over it, close and cook the appam with or without swiveling
