The Italian Tiramisu is a classic among desserts. Tiramisu translates to “pick-me-up” in Italian. Mascarpone sauce, eggs and flavored sponge cake make up the main ingredients for this yummy after-meal delight.

Ingredients
5 eggs
200 gm Mascarpone cheese
130 gm sugar
200 gm chocolate sponge cake
10 ml black coffee
10 ml coffee syrup
1/ 2 tsp cocoa powder

Preparation
Beat the egg whites till they turn fluffy
Mix cheese and sugar in a bowl and add the egg yolks to it, mix well
Pour the egg white mixture gently into it, stirring it slowly all the while
Cut half of the sponge cake and keep it on a tray
Pour half of the coffee-syrup mixture over it
On top of this, spread half of the cheese filling
Place the other half of the sponge cake over this and pour the rest of the coffee-syrup mixture
Spread the remaining cheese filling on top of it
Sprinkle cocoa power on top, chill and serve
Your Tiramisu is ready to be served
