The good old palappam is a lovely treat for breakfast, as always. Let's tweak the traditional appam to suit the kids' taste.

Ingredients

    ½ kg palappam powder

    Egg, as required

    Preparation

      Prepare the palappam batter

      After the batter is prepared, heat the appam pan on the stove

      Pour a ladle of batter into it and swivel the pan

      The middle portion should not rise up like the normal palappam

      Break an egg, pour it onto the middle of the appam and cook keeping the pan closed

      Cook appams in this manner until the batter is fully used up

      Serve hot
