Shah Rukh Khan's diet: Here's how the 'Jawan' actor stays fit at 57

Shah Rukh Khan is famously into smoking, sleeps very late and drinks a lot of coffee too. Still, how does the Jawan actor stay fit at the age of 57? While many actors follow extremely complex and costly diet plans, workout regimes, skincare protocols and more, King Khan apparently follows a very simple diet regimen. At a time when his latest movie is in theatres, the tips are going viral again.
Food just twice a day!
While nutritionists and dieticians often advise having five or six small meals a day to ensure your body is nourished enough, the Pathaan star dines just twice a day – lunch and dinner. 'Four meals a day, six meals a day, it's all a yashi,' he famously said a while ago at a press conference when asked about his diet. The actor includes sprouts, grilled chicken, broccoli, lentils and more in his meals regularly. He is apparently quite particular about this routine and doesn't let it be affected, year-round. Recently, a video had also gone viral in which the actor says that he isn't into diets.
He even said, “If I am at a friend's home and they offer biryani, roti, paratha, ghee or lassi, I have it.” At the same time, he has said that he doesn't eat much and leads a very frugal lifestyle. “I don't eat or drink too much by nature except for my 25 to 30 cups of black coffee a day, which I am trying to reduce. I'm not interested in too many dishes either.”
'Sit on the floor and eat'
The actor is also a proponent of having food, and sitting on the floor. In a press meet, he once said, “If you sit down on the floor with your leg turned inwards, and eat, one-third of your stomach gets compressed. So, you will never fill it fully, but you feel it's full and I think when you eat your food, you need to leave a little space. We tend to stuff our stomachs. I believe you should not take a second helping. Let a little hunger remain. I think it is good for health. I can be completely wrong, I don't know the physiological or biological reasoning for this, but this is my belief.”
