Meandering through long rows of vehicles, amid the heavy traffic, has become a routine for the millions of food delivery agents in the country. They deserve credit for delivering freshly cooked food to households during the pandemic times. The food delivery agents stand out for their colourful t-shirts and a huge hot box on their shoulders.

A food vendor in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, inspired by the food delivery agents, decided to sell idlis, just like the agents carry the food. He arranges hot idlis, sambar and coconut chutney in a huge hot box and carries it around the streets of Lucknow on his bike. A set of two idlis with sambar and chutney costs just Rs 30. You could have an extra idli by paying Rs 40. Those who are rushing to offices often stop the vendor to enjoy hot idlis that are soaked in flavoursome sambar.
