Don't be surprised to see your favourite Malabari dishes on upcoming season of Gordon Ramsay's Nat Geo show 'Uncharted.' Kerala recently saw the Michelin star chef make a visit to the Malabar district Kannur for a shoot.
He is currently shooting the second season of the food and adventure series 'Uncharted' that features the British chef exploring indigenous world cuisine. Gordon arrived with his crew at the Malabar Beach Resort in Kannur early in the morning around 4am, and left the same afternoon. "He did not stay with us for long. He left for the shoot right after checking in and left for Coorg just after," a staff member of the resort told Onmanorama.
The star chef even posted a story from Kannur's famous drive-in beach Muzhappilangad on his Instagram account where he tagged @NatGeo, making the purpose of his visit quite clear.
The first season of Uncharted premiered on July 21, 2019, on the National Geographic Network and featured cuisines from Peru, New Zealand, Morocco, Hawaii, Laos, and Alaska.
This is not the first time Kerala cuisine has caught international attention. Late celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain was a fan of Kerala cuisine after he visited the state for an episode of his long-running travel series 'No Reservations.'
Ramsay has already shot an elaborate episode of his Kerala adventure's on his previous television series 'Gordon's Great Escape' that focused primarily on Asian culture.
