From the special marikkatha dosa to the extra strong Dabbang beef biryani, the land of letters is beckoning foodies from all over by dishing out some unique and delicious dishes. The food festival organized by the Roundtable 121 was inaugurated at the Nagambadom municipal stadium by municipal chair person Dr. PR Sona.
The food fest convenors Prasant Kurian, Roundtable 121 chairman Twin Job and secretary Rohit Pias spoke at the event. The entry for the fest that is held from 3.30 pm to 10.30 pm is restricted through pass. The food fest, which serves amazing varieties of dishes, ends on 26th January.
The stalls opened by various restaurants from around Kerala line one side of the venue. Meanwhile, you could enjoy the local flavours, from the shaap curries to the iconic Thalaserry biryani, on the other side. Besides, you could also try the classic American burger, exquisite Arabic sweets and Turkish ice cream as well. Chirikatha dosa, puyyapla, undakannan, lajjawati and luttappi are some of the dosa varieties that are served at the fest.
The food lovers can also try the delicious kozhi mittayi, chicken cheeripanjathu, maram chutti chicken, chicken churuttikootiyathu, veerappan chicken, kantari fish, prawns kizhi, special dishes from Kuttanad and the Iranian faham as well. Besides the food stalls, you could also visit the 10 auto stalls of the luxury car makers including Benz and BMW. A flea market from where the visitors can purchase books, beauty products, clothes and toys too is arranged as part of the food festival.
A play and amusement area is arranged for the kids who come for the festival. The platforms are uniquely designed to protect the food from dust. There is even a public dining space where families can enjoy the food together. The revenue collected from the food festival would be donated to the charities.

The visitors can buy the food publications from Malayala Manorama for discount rates at the Manorama stall here. Those who choose yearly subscriptions for Karshakasree, Arogyam and Sambadyam magazines can win the Malayala Manorama 2020 diary for free.
