Double Horse celebrates its 60th anniversary, announces scholarships for researchers

Thrissur: Double Horse, the leading food brand from Kerala, as part of their 60th anniversary celebrations offered scholarships to students in the field of food technology. The scholarships are offered as part of the CSR activities conducted by M.O. John Foundation, an entity formed in the memory of the founder of Double Horse.

The main aim of the scholarship is to motivate and instil interest among students in conducting new researches in food industry.

The scholarship intends to make Kerala, the Food Innovation Hub of India by promoting the youth to take active participation in research programmes. Apart from this, Double Horse also plans to provide support to 'Food Incubators' in colleges.

Double Horse's easy Idiyappam powder developed using FBD Technology to prepare Idiyappam with normal water, puttupodi with pre-steam technology is one among the few products that are creating a wave in the easy-to-cook food segment.

The foundation was officially inaugurated by Renji John, Managing Trustee and the logo of the 60th anniversary celebrations was unveiled by the brand ambassador of Double Horse, Mamta Mohandas.

At the event, a cookery book 'Kerala Cuisine' was also launched.
