Mollywood playback singers' association celebrates Onam with K S Chithra

SAMAM, the association of playback singers in the Malayalam movie industry gathered for a fabulous Onam celebration, filled with laughter, joy and lots of singing. The event named ‘Sangeetham Samam Onam’ was organised by Manorama Online in association with KLM Axiva Finfest.
Veteran singers, including K S Chithra, Lathika, Jensy Gregory and Minmini attended the mega Onam festivities held at the Le Meridian hotel in Ernakulam recently. Wishing the SAMAM members, Chithra said that such gatherings would help forget the sorrows and misery.

Meanwhile, a thrilling tug of war contest was held between teams led by film actors Antony Pepe and Gauthami Nair. Besides, various Onam competitions like pookkalam, uriyadi, antakshari and musical chair were conducted for the singers. Singers Sudeep Kumar, Kallara Gopan, Pradeep Somasundaram, Sannidanandan, Vidhu Prathap, Ravi Shankar, G Sriram, Afsal, Devanand, Ganesh Sundaram, Vipin Xavier, Anwar Sadath, Rakesh Brahmanandan, Anoop Shankar, Sunil Kumar, Reju Joseph, Sherdin Thomas, Ramesh Babu, Nikhil K Menon, Padalam Balan, Pradeep Palluruthy, KK Nishad, Kalabhavan Telma, Preetha Kannan, Sayanora, Sangeetha Sreekanth, Rajalakshmi, Sithara Krishnakumar, Sindhu Premkumar, Akhila Anand, Manju Menon, Lekha R Nair, Vrinda Menon, Jyotsna, Chitra Arun, Saritha Ram, Gayathri, Saritha Rajeev, Mridula Warrier, Radhika Narayanan, Pushpavathi, Shreya Jayadeep and Jisha Naveen took part in the festivities.

KS Chithra launched the new KLM Axiva Finfest’s brand new ad at the event. Besides the pookkalam and other entertainments, a grand feast too was arranged for the SAMAM members. Manorama Coordinating editor Santhosh Jacob George and KLM Axiva Finfest CEO Manoj Ravi spoke at the event. Manorama Online will telecast the event during the Onam season.
