Various celebrities condoled the demise of award-winning singer Bhavatharini Raja, who passed away following a prolonged illness on Thursday. Bhavatharini is the daughter of music maestro Ilayaraja. Singers Sujatha, Haricharan, K S Chithra, among others expressed their grief on social media.
“Heartfelt condolences on the passing away of Smt Bhavatharini. May her soul rest in peace and My Condolences to the family,” wrote K S Chithra. Sujatha Mohan said she was shocked to hear about the singer's death. “Shocking News! Isaignani Ilayaraja 's daughter and Singer #Bhavatharini passed away...Feeling so so so sad.”
Musician Haricharan remembered her as one of the sweetest people he has met and wrote about her musical genius. He also asked people to ensure they address health concerns sooner.
“Shocked with the sudden passing away of Bhavatha akka. Right from when I was known as a singer or musician, I have received so much love and support from her and have performed with her many times. Every time we meet, her beautiful voice has always captivated me and so many others all these years. She is easily one of the most sweetest people I have ever seen. And she constantly hustled to make more music. Wish we take more care with our health and address issues sooner,” said Haricharan.
