Another song from the movie ‘Chalakudikkaran Changathi’ based on the life of the late actor Kalabhavan Mani is out. The popular 1990’s song ‘Chalakudy Chanthakku Pokumbol’ which was sung by Mani has been recreated for the latest movie. Mani had also acted in the video song which instantly became a super hit.

Sharing the latest version of the song, film-maker Vinayan wrote on his Fcebook page, “As I was engaged in the relief activities following the floods that ravaged Kerala, the post production works and promotional activities of ‘Chalakudikkaran Changathi’ were put on hold for a while. We are trying hard to complete these works as soon as possible and release the movie on 28 September. The second video song ‘Chalakudy Chantakku Pokumbol’ which was originally sung by Kalabhavan Mani has been released.”

The director wrote that since the original version of the song in Mani’s voice was not available in the quality to be played in the theaters, they have used a remixed version which is sung by the late actor’s brother RLV Ramakrishnan. “Though the latest version wouldn’t be anything like the one Mani had sung, Ramakrishnan has tried to render it without losing its inherent feel. Those who saw the visuals said that the song reminded them of a 90’s movie,” says the film-maker.

Vinayan concludes his Facebook post by requesting the audience to watch the song and let him know the opinions.
