The Kochi Cyber Police have arrested Aluva native Aaquib Fanan for selling the pirated version of the recently released Unni Mukundan-starrer 'Marco', which hit theatres on December 20. The accused had been selling the link of the pirated versions to people on Instagram, after approaching them.

The police began a probe based on a complaint by Muhammed Shareef, one of the producers of the movie. As per the complaint, a copy of the film captured from a theatre in Kerala has been circulating on social media. Recently, 'Sookshmadarshini' makers had to tackle several incidents of piracy after their movie was uploaded on YouTube twice. The Cyber police said they are trying to investigate the pirates behind the leaked version of 'Marco'. 'Marco' has been having a successful run in theatres.
