Former US President Barack Obama has shared a list of the favourite films he watched in 2024. Celebrated filmmaker Payal Kapadia's movie 'All We Imagine As Light' is on top of the list of his favourites movies of the year. Actors Divya Prabha and Kani Kusruti who played key roles in 'All We Imagine As Light' shared Barack Obama's post with the note: 'Honored to see our film @allweimagineaslightfilm on @barackobama ‘s favorite movies of 2024 ! Soooo Grateful for the love and recognition.'
American mystery thriller 'Conclave' by Edward Berger, Malcolm Washington's 'The Piano Lesson', Oscar-nominated 'The Seed of the Sacred Fig' by Mohammad Rasoulof, Denis Villeneuve's 'Dune: Part Two', Sean Baker's 'Andoraa', Sean Wang's American coming-of-age movie 'Didi', Documentary film 'Sugarcane' on an investigation into the Canadian Indian residential school system and James Mangold's 'A Complete Unknown', are among the other top films in his list.

'All We Imagine As Light' won the Grand Prix award at the Cannes Film Festival this year. Payal Kapadia was honoured with the Spirit of Cinema award at the 29th International Film Fesival of Kerala, which concluded in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.
