Recently, the film received a thundering response from the delegates at the latest edition of the Toronto International Film Festival after its world premiere.

The film also stars Chemban Vinod Jose and Sabumon Abdusamad in the lead.

Jallikattu's screenplay is done by S Hareesh and R Jayakumar. Girish Gangadharan has handled the camera while Deepu Joseph has edited the film.

Based on a short story titled Maoist by S Hareesh, Jallikattu has been produced by Thomas Panicker under the banner of Opus Penta.
